Dr Andrew Low is an Australian-trained, RANZCR-certified radiologist with a broad range of expertise across multiple sub-specialties, including neuroradiology, cardiothoracic, oncology and body imaging.
Dr Low completed his medical education at Sydney University, graduating with first class Honors in 2011. He completed his radiology training in South Australia in 2019, with subsequent fellowship training in cardiac MRI at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London.
He maintains professional memberships with several professional societies including cardiac (SCMR, SCCT), thoracic (ANZSTR) and abdominal (ARGANZ, SAR) imaging groups. He is also a certified NIOSH B Reader for occupational lung imaging.
Dr Low is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) and worked in rural Canada for 3 years. As head of MRI and CT for Northern Vancouver Island, Dr Low established a rural cardiac MRI imaging service. Passionate about imaging quality, he advanced their MRI and CT protocols to top international standards. He also established a urology multidisciplinary team, diagnosing prostate cancer using MRI and image guided biopsies.
Now based in Bowral with his family, Dr Low is passionate about advancing medical services in his community. Through Gibraltar Radiology he aims to establish access to advanced cardiac imaging care, delivering diagnostics of top international standards, and establish a culture of multidisciplinary care for his patients.
Dr Low’s prior Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Masters of Experimental Medicine provide a strong analytical background from which to advancing medical imaging.
